Are you in the Toronto area? Are you curious about the St. Peter’s Young Adults Group or just plain thirsty? If so, you’re invited to join the St. Peter’s Young Adult Group for our monthly pub nights scheduled for every fourth Sunday of the month! Our next pub night is scheduled for Sunday, September 23, 2018, following the 6 pm mass.

If interested in attending please meet at the back of St. Peter’s Church (near the doors going out to 840 Bathurst St), following 6 pm mass or meet us at Paupers Pub, located at 539 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M5S 1Y5.

Young Adults Alpha Program – Winter 2018

What is Alpha?
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith.

Who’s it for?
Alpha is for anyone who’s curious. The talks are designed to encourage conversation and explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, open environment. No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you want.

How does it work?
Alpha is typically 7-12 sessions with a weekend or day away in the middle. Each session includes food, a short talk and discussion where you can share your thoughts and ask questions. There’s no pressure, no follow up and no charge.

How much is it?
There’s usually no charge to attend Alpha, though some places may ask for a contribution towards food.

Young Adults Movie Night – JOIN US on Dec 5th, 2017!

The Young Adults Group are planning to watch the 7:10 pm (to be confirmed) showing of “The Man who Invented Christmas” this Tuesday, December 5th at Cineplex Cinemas, Yonge & Dundas Square.

Synopsis: In October 1843, Charles Dickens (Dan Stevens) was suffering from the failure of his last three books. Rejected by his publishers, he set out to write and self-publish a book he hoped would keep his family afloat and revive his career. Directed by Bharat Nalluri from Les Standifordas book of the same name, The Man who Invented Christmas tells the story of the six fever-pitched weeks in which Dickens created A Christmas Carol. The film takes audiences inside the magical process that brought to life Ebenezer Scrooge (Christopher Plummer), Tiny Tim and others, changing the holiday into the merry family event we know today.
