DESCRIPTION:A Talk on Heaven\, Hell\, Purgatory and the Afterlife in Catholic Theology\nby Rev. Dr. Matthew Hendzel\, PhD \nOver two sessions\, Deacon Matthew Hendzel\, SJ\, will discuss both the Catholic Church’s teachings on the afterlife\, and the history and theology behind these teachings. Following the Church’s classic framework of the Four Last Things (Death\, Judgment\, Heaven and Hell) for understanding the afterlife\, the first presentation will explore the topics of Death\, Judgment and Hell on July 6th\, and the second will explore Purgatory and Heaven on July 13th. \nDeacon Matthew graduated with a PhD in Systematic Theology in 2019 from the University of St Michael’s College.
