DESCRIPTION:The Parish Community of St. Peter’s is a very socially conscious and active community. The parish hosts many outreach programmes. Despite that\, we do not have a Social Justice Committee. Such a Committee would direct the parish’s efforts to study and understand the Church’s social teachings. In the hopes of starting a Social Justice Committee\, Mr. Porfirio Garcia\, from the Office of Faith Formation and Discipleship\, will be visiting our parish to lead an evening discussion on hope to start a Social Justice Committee in our parish. Anyone who might be interested in assisting with this project is invited this important meeting on Tuesday\, May 8th at 7:00 pm in the St. Paul’s room in the Centre at 830 Bathurst Street. The Sacrament of the sick can be celebrated for any person who is ill and in danger of death or elderly. The sacrament is intended to bring physical and spiritual healing to those who are seriously ill. It also asks God for the grace to accept the suffering that comes with serious illness or diminished health due to age.
