DESCRIPTION:The Parish Community of St. Peter’s is a very socially conscious and active community. The parish hosts many outreach programmes. Despite that\, we do not have a Social Justice Committee. Such a Committee would direct the parish’s efforts to study and understand the Church’s social teachings. In the hopes of starting a Social Justice Committee\, Mr. Porfirio Garcia\, from the Office of Faith Formation and Discipleship\, will be visiting our parish to lead an evening discussion on hope to start a Social Justice Committee in our parish. DESCRIPTION:What is Alpha?\nAlpha is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith. \nWho’s it for?\nAlpha is for anyone who’s curious. The talks are designed to encourage conversation and explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly\, open environment. No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you want. \nHow does it work?\nAlpha is typically 7-12 sessions with a weekend or day away in the middle. Each session includes food\, a short talk and discussion where you can share your thoughts and ask questions.
