Thank you to everyone who has been praying for, asking about and holding onto items for Hiyam and her sons Fadi and Mark. They are still living in our neighbourhood, and will be able to stay for low rent until Mark has finished his first year of high school.<\/p>\n
They are very busy with English classes, medical treatment, high school and volunteering.<\/p>\n
Our family will not need household items until they move into their own apartment in the late spring, so please hold onto any items that you promised to donate.<\/p>\n
As privately sponsored refugees, they do not receive welfare payments. Their small monthly budget comes from the Archdiocese, so any donations of gift cards for winter clothes, groceries, etc. would be very helpful.<\/p>\n
