\"\"St Peter\u2019s Seniors Wisdom group will be meeting on Thursday June 6, 2024, starting at 10:30 am in the Church auditorium. The theme Love Thy Neighbour is back just in time for Canada Day. We thought it would be wonderful to come together, united together as children of God, to enjoy various ethnic dishes in a potluck style gathering. I hope to see you all there, with your friends and family, and a dish specific to your culture, your country of origin, to share with everyone.  Food is more than sustenance; it is a blessing from God that nourishes our body and brings us together.<\/p>\n

We are so fortunate to have a guest speaker come and share her story of when she immigrated to Canada from Colombia at the age of 19 and found hope in her Catholic faith.  Margarita went on to eventually work as a nurse with the Sisters of St. Joseph, at their private residence\/hospital. She also led the 40 days for life campaign in Toronto, she is also part of the Natural Family planning in Toronto, she helps in Marriage Prep at various parishes, part of the Charismatic Renewal at Our Lady of Guadalupe church, and also a co-worker with the Sisters of Life, helping to minister to the Spanish speaking women they serve.  Margarita is also a wife, and a mother of 2 boys and 1 dog and a good friend. We also have Taichi Master Timothy back by popular demand, who will be joining us just after Margarita\u2019s presentation. We are looking forward to spending time with all of you, during this time of sharing and community.  For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them~ Matthew 18:20<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
