Each year every parish in the Archdiocese invites a missionary preacher to speak about the need of the local Church. This year our speaker will be Fr. Gigi Philip from the Archdiocese of Tiruvalla representing the diocese for mission preaching at our parish during all the Masses for the weekend of August 22-23. Please give generously for our brothers and sisters in need. Thank you!

Thanks a lot to Fr. Michael and the parishioners of St Peters’ Church, a family of faith, for your warm welcome to the parish community.

We, the Archbishop Thomas Mar Koorilos, the priests and the faithful of the Archdiocese of Thiruvalla, appreciate your support and encouragement through Mission Co-op to our mission activities of the diocese.

Our main concern is mission parishes; but as we start off new missions, naturally, our immediate attention goes toward housing, medicine and nutrition, as there is no common health insurance programme. The diocese is also organizing homes for the less fortunate children and old ones.

Vocation to priesthood is still hopeful, but the challenge is to get benevolent sponsors to cover the cost of the formation of seminarians, as the majority of their parents cannot afford the cost of formation.
