Daily Mass in Church beginning September

Beginning on Monday, September 2, 2019 the weekday Masses will be celebrated in the Church. This is due to the Centre closing for renovations. It will be re-purposed to house the office of Catholic youth, the Archives and the Office of Refugees for the Archdiocese of Toronto. We are very grateful to the Archdiocese for allowing the parish free use of the Centre during these past three years since they have purchased it. Mass times will continue to as scheduled for the rest of the year.

A Short Homily and a Brief Update

I know a few priests who during the summer months make a point of giving very short homilies. Today, I would like to give a short homily, but I do so not to speak for a shorter period of time, but rather so that I can also give you a brief update about a few significant changes that will take place at the end of the summer. First a short homily.

 

The Parable of the Good Samaritan is perhaps one of the most famous parables in the bible. For most people, when they hear this parable, they hear it as a story about what they are called to do for their neighbour. Persecuted Christians around the world – Wednesday, July 31 at 7:00 pm

The parish will host a speaker from “Aide to the Church in need” on Wednesday, July 31st at 7:00 p in St. Paul’s room in the Centre. Filipe Bezerra will speak to us about Christians who are persecuted around the world. This will be an important chance to learn about the situation of our Christian brothers and sisters around the world. Please mark your calendars!
