St. Peter’s Young Adults- Pub Night!! September 17, 2017

pubnight3Are you in the Toronto area?  Are you curious about the St. Peter’s Young Adults Group or just plain thirsty? If so, you’re invited to join the St. Peter’s Young Adult Group for our monthly pub nights scheduled for every fourth Sunday of the month! Our next pub night is scheduled for Sunday, September 17, 2017, following the 6 pm mass.

If interested in attending please meet at the back of St. Peter’s Church (near the doors going out to 840 Bathurst St), following 6 pm mass or meet us at Paupers Pub, located at 539 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M5S 1Y5.

Fall Fair Announcement

FallFairWebSt. Peters Parish will be hosting this year’s FALL FAIR EVENT on Saturday October 14th and Sunday October 15th, 2017.

We are having a meeting for anyone who would like to volunteer to help with this event. Past volunteers and new volunteers are encouraged to attend this meeting. The meeting will provide information about the tasks that will need to be completed and provide opportunity for the community to ask any questions and/or suggestions they may have regarding this year’s event.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 7pm in the St. Peter’s church auditorium. If you are unable to attend and would like to volunteer feel free to contact the church office via email or phone to be added to the list.

We look forward to seeing as many people as possible to make this event a success. “Volunteers are the heart of the community”.

FALL FAIR DONATIONS
We will be accepting this year’s Fall Fair donations starting Wednesday September 13th, 2017, please deliver your donations to the parish office, located at 830 Bathurst Street.

Reflection series on Psalms

psalmsA five (5) week program on the PSALMS will be staring on Thursday, Sept. 28 until October 26 in the St. Paul’s room at the Centre from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. facilitated by Sr. Gabriel Riddle cps. Everyone welcome! Please bring your Bibles.

Bereavement Ministry Support Group

bereavement-supportA six (6) week bereavement ministry support group will be starting at St. Peter’s (ministry centre) starting on Tuesday, September 12 from 1:00 -3:00p.m. If you or someone you know is dealing with the loss of a loved one and would like to join this group, please register at the parish office (416-534-4219)

Ministry to sick and shut-ins

sickThere will be a meeting for minsters of the sick and shut-ins of our parish on Sat. September 16 at 12:30 p.m. in the Parish Centre.  Additional  volunteers  are needed, so please come and find out more about this important service to others.

Franciscan Spirituality – Cancelled

UNFORTUNATELY THIS PRESENTATION HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES.

In conjunction with the Feast of St. Francis and Pope Francis’ recent document “Laudato Si”, a lecture/dvd presentation on Franciscan Spirituality will be offered on Tuesday, Oct. 3 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the parish centre. All welcome!
