Father Michael McGourty, who has served as pastor of St. Peter’s since 2015, has requested and been generously granted a sabbatical by Cardinal Frank Leo, Archbishop of Toronto.
He will conclude his time at St. Peter’s on June 25, 2026.

Father Michael Hughes has been appointed as the new pastor of St. Peter’s and will begin his ministry on June 25, 2026.

Please keep all the priests of the Archdiocese in your prayers as they begin new assignments, and pray for all involved during this time of transition. 🙏
Happy Easter- Christ is Risen: The parish communit Happy Easter- Christ is Risen:
The parish community of St. Peter’s joyfully celebrated the Easter Vigil and the Resurrection of Christ by celebrating the baptism of 7 new Christians, receiving 5 Christians from other denominations, and celebrating the sacraments of confirmation and First Eucharist with four Catholics who were baptized but un- catechized as children. The celebration reminds us of the importance of living our baptismal call by attending the Sunday celebration of the Eucharist every Sunday. Happy Easter to all. Christ is truly risen!!!
