From July 25 to August 9, Fr. Michael will be away on vacation. During that time, Fr. Seamus Hogan, professor of history at St. Augustine’s Seminary will be looking after the parish. Please welcome him. Fr. Seamus will be celebrating all of the parish Masses, funerals and available for emergencies. For any other enquirers related to baptism and marriage, please wait to speak with Fr. Michael after August 10.

Thank you very much to the many people who donated so generously to St. Peter’s ShareLife campaign this year. Our final total was over $23,000.00 which exceeds our goal of $20,000 by more than $3000.00. This money goes to supporting Covenant House and more than 30 other agencies in our city. Thank you to Mr. Jeff Mesina for leading this year’s very successful campaign.
The parish will be hosting a workshop on the R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) on the weekend of August 20/21 2016. There is a need for practising Catholics who would like to be members of the team that prepares those adults who are interested in baptism. If you are a practising Catholic and would like to share your faith with others, please contact Fr. Michael at 416-534-4219, ext. 211.
The parish is looking for individuals who might be willing to help teach the First Confession and First Communion programme. Those who assist will be working with Ms. Lynett Wilson, the parish’s Sacramental Preparation coordinator. Interested volunteers would also be asked to complete a police background check in order to work with children in accordance with the Archdiocesan vulnerable people’s policy.
