Friday, September 29, 2023 – 5:30 p.m. – St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica

The Archdiocese of Toronto celebrates the feast day of our archdiocesan patron, St. Michael, on Friday, September 29, 2023. All are welcome to join in a special celebration on that day at 5:30 p.m. at St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica (65 Bond St.). Archbishop Francis Leo will celebrate Mass, with music from the world-renowned St. Michael’s Choir School. As part of the celebration, the Apostolic Nuncio to Canada, the Most Rev. Ivan Jurkovič will confer the pallium on our archbishop, a symbol of his role as Metropolitan Archbishop of Toronto and shepherd to the faithful.

Following Mass, there will be an informal reception with light refreshments in the St. Michael’s Cathedral atrium and courtyard. Seating will be first come, first served. All are welcome to join in this special celebration for our archdiocese and archbishop!

St. Bruno St. Raymond Catholic School is looking for two (2) parents or community members who would be interested in a Lunchtime Supervisor position at the school. Lunch Time Supervisors work daily, Monday – Friday, 11:15 am- 12:15 pm and assist staff with the safe supervision of students. If you or someone you know are interested in this paid position, please contact the school principal, Anne Marie Cassin, at annemarie.cassin@tcdsb.org or at the school 416-393-5276.

The Parish Office will be closed on Monday, September 4, for the Labour Day Holiday. Daily Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in the Church. There will be no adoration on that day.

The Legion of Mary, North Toronto Curia, is sponsoring a one day Pilgrimage to Martyr’s Shrine, Midland, Ontario, on September 10, 2023, 32nd Rosary Sunday of the Archdiocese of Toronto. The cost is $50 per person, first come, first serve. If interested, please contact the parish office.

Dear Fr. Michael, fellow staff and parishioners of St. Peter’s,

It is with heartfelt sadness that I retire from my much-enjoyed ministry at St. Peter’s with you. I want to say goodbye and thank each one of you for the many days we have shared during my 8 year ministry. From the beginning, I have been touched by your personal generosity, friendship, dedication to prayer, support and cooperation for efforts made to expand and enrich the outreach to others in the parish and community. May God continue to bless you and your families and know that I hold each one of you in my daily thoughts and prayers as you have a special place in my heart.
