The parish will celebrate the monthly memorial Mass on First Friday, June 2, at 7:00 pm to commemorate the anniversaries of the deceased friends and family members of parishioners. This Memorial Mass on May 5 will also include the names of all deceased loved ones whose anniversaries are both in April and May. To enroll a family member for whom there is an anniversary of death, please call the parish office ahead of time during office hours.

Fr. Michael will be away on vacation from May 29 – June 13. During this time Fr. Charles Egbulefu will be celebrating the Parish Masses and funerals. For baptismal and marriage inquires please call the Parish office after Fr. Michael returns on June 13.

Thank you to Gabriel Nakonechny for his excellent service in faith formation to our parish community in his work as a Pastoral Assistant over the past two years. Gabriel will work this summer for the Office of youth and go to the Diocesan Seminary this September to discern a vocation to the priesthood. Thank you Brother Gabriel and be assured of our prayers. Camp Marygrove (for girls, ages 5-13) and Camp Ozanam (for boys, ages 7-12) have spaces open for those children in our parish who would not otherwise be able to afford a summer camp experience. These one-week summer camps are free and run consecutively through July and August. Completed applications need to be forwarded to Toronto Central Council by June 10th, 2023.

The little campers and at least one of their guardians must meet in person with SVDP St. Peter’s volunteers to complete the application forms. We will be scheduling appointments for Saturday June 3rd between 3 and 5pm; to schedule your appointment or ask for more information, please leave a message at 416.534.4219 extension 229. Leave your name, number of children, home address including postal code and the best telephone number and time to reach you. Please note, to complete the application form, we will also need a ‘to size’ copy of the front and back of the child’s Ontario health card.

Two weeks ago, at the 5:00 pm Saturday Mass it was announced that the parish would attempt to raise $1500 to purchase a BBQ for future socials. On the way out of Church, an anonymous donor gave $1500 cash. Thank you very much for this generous donation.
