Social Justice Committee News- Ukrainian Hosting

Decorative Image

Recently, members of the Social Justice Committee met with members from St. Gabriel’s Parish Refugee Committee. This meeting was to explore the possibility of a collaboration in support of their efforts to host Ukrainian families. Our Committee has decided that this would be a wonderful way to offer our Parish support by providing volunteers and later, some financial support. In the next few weeks, St. Gabriel’s Refugee Committee will come to St. Peter’s to make a presentation to anyone interested in supporting this new collaboration.

Counters Needed for Collection

Decorative Image

St. Peter’s Parish requires counters to assist with the counting of the collection. Volunteers work in teams of four. This is an ideal volunteer position for a retired person available in the daytime. If you are a regular parishioner and willing to help, please contact the office at 416-534-4219 . As this is a high risk volunteer position, volunteers must be willing to undergo a police background check and complete the volunteer screening procedures.
