Thank You

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Peter’s Conference, would like to thank everyone for contributing generously to our weekly collection baskets as you exit Mass and our Christmas envelop drive. The funds collected help us turn Concern into Action, and enable us to respond to calls for help from those most in need in our parish community.

Through your support and generosity, you have made it possible for us to help over two dozen families in our parish with groceries, clothing, and furniture throughout 2022, and a little extra special Christmas help. We extend physical aid, but also friendship to those less fortunate and are always looking for people who might consider joining us in our vocation. If you would like to find out more about volunteering with St. Peters’ St. Vincent de Paul, leave us a message at (416) 534-4219 ext. 229.

On behalf of our volunteers, our parish family, and those people whom we’ve helped, thank you and God’s blessings and peace be with you in 2023.

Isaac Hecker and the Journey of Catholic America

Decorative TextIs the Holy Spirit moving you to find out more about His role in your life? Have you ever wondered why the second reading is always a letter from St. Paul that reflects on the workings and guidance of the Holy Spirit? The Toronto Paulist Associates would like to introduce you to one of the greatest American Catholic missionaries and saints of the 19th century who, like St. Paul, underwent a conversion and was driven by the Holy Spirit to preach the Good News to secular America using media tools of the modern age. Dare to be moved by the Holy Spirit – plan your night out to a screening of ISAAC HECKER AND THE JOURNEY OF CATHOLIC AMERICA which will take place on February 9th at 7:00 p.m. in the church auditorium. Who knows where He will lead you.

With Angels and Archangels Hymnal

Decorative Image

The Hymn book that the parish has been using for many years is an American book that is no longer in print. As many are old and need to be replaced, the parish will be purchasing a set of the Archdiocesan hymnal “With Angels and Archangels.” These books cost $30.00 per book. In order to purchase these, the parish is inviting parishioners to dedicate books in memory of deceased loved ones at $30.00 a book. A dedication label will appear with the name in front of each book. Envelopes for this purpose can be found at the back of the Church and placed in the collection basket. With your generous assistance, we hope to have these books available for the Holy Week of 2023. Thank you for your support!
