Sister Gabriel Mary Riddle cps will be facilitating a five week overview of the faith featuring the 5 week DVD/Discussion program called “Symbolon, the Catholic Faith Explained” on Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm from July 7 to August 4 in the Church auditorium. Topic for July 7 – The Journey of Faith; Divine Revelation. All are welcome!

The Parish Community of St. Peter’s Church wish a very Happy Father’s Day and all of God’s blessings to our fathers, grandfathers, godfathers and many other father figures in our lives. We also remember fathers who are no longer with us, but whose memories we will always cherish.

ShareLife agencies need your support now, more than ever

One the agencies you support through ShareLife is Catholic Cross cultural Services.

The agency appreciates your help and recently wrote:

CCS was able to ensure uninterrupted access to services, information, and support for women, mental health and settlement services to those ineligible for any other services due to their immigration status.”

For some agencies, ShareLife is the sole funder of their programs. Thanks to your support, no one is ever turned away due to inability to pay.

Our goal this year is $42,000. To date we have achieved $31,265.10.

Dr. Christina Labriola, the parish music director for many years, will celebrate the Rite of Consecration for a Virgin here at St. Peter’s on Friday, June 24, 2022 at 7:00 PM. Bishop Ivan Camilleri will celebrate this Mass. This celebration will take place on the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart. Please come and celebrate with Dr. Labriola.

To give us guidance and strength as disciples of Jesus, we are inviting parishioners to focus their attention on the sign of the sacrificial and compassionate love of Christ, the Sacred Heart of Jesus and its devotion as a vital part of our life of faith. In order to promote this devotion an evening of reflection on Cardinal Thomas Collins’s recent pastoral letter on the Sacred Heart will be held in the Church auditorium on Thursday, June 23 at 7:00 pm. This weekend, there will be a second collection for Marygrove Girls Camp run by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Each year, over 1,000 young girls with financial or domestic hardship enjoy a subsidized joyful camping experience at Marygrove. Please give generously to support this important initiative. Thank you for your support!

There have been a number of fake emails received pretending to be Chancery staff or clergy and soliciting donations in the form of gift cards and other items. These are fraudulent emails sent by criminals. Clergy and staff at the Archdiocese of Toronto and its parishes and missions do not solicit gifts by asking someone in an email to purchase gift cards. If you receive an unusual, unsolicited email from someone who works for the archdiocese, please check the email address of the sender. If it is not @archtoronto.org then it may be a fake message. Do not reply to these emails, as an increased reply rate encourages more fake emails. If in doubt, contact the sender by some alternate means such as emailing or calling the parish or chancery office associated with the sender.

Fr. Michael will be away on vacation from June 8 – 24. During this time Fr. Thomas Lim will be celebrating the Parish Masses and funerals. For baptismal and marriage inquires please call the Parish office after Fr. Michael returns on June 24.
