As a result of the COVID 19 Lockdown that has been ordered for the City of Toronto, beginning on Monday, November 23, 2020, and lasting for at least 28 days, there will be no public Masses celebrated in Toronto. Under this lockdown order, churches may only admit 10 persons, including clergy, at a time. All publicly celebrated Masses during this time have been cancelled. Continue reading
On Sunday, November 1, we will move our clocks back one hour to change to standard time. Please remember only the Sunday Masses next weekend will begin in accordance with standard time.
In the month of November it is our tradition to pray for our beloved. The parish will have a “Book of Remembrance” for the faithful departed and the names of all those family members written in it will be remembered at all masses throughout November. Parishioners may add names of deceased family members or friends for whom they wish the parish to offer prayers during this season of remembrance.
On November 2, All Souls day the parish will have Masses for All Souls at 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
The parish has invited the families of those who have had a death this year to the 7:00 PM Mass. Due to Covid 19 restrictions the space is limited to 100 people. You must call the parish office to confirm your attendance for the 7:00 PM Mass
On November 1, All Saints day, being Sunday, as usual we will have Masses both at 9:00 AM and 11:15 AM.
With a strong emphasis on safety for all we are seeking volunteers for the Winter Welcome Table program as we strive to provide a nourishing take out meal for those in need commencing Monday, Nov. 2nd. This is a joint Stewardship service cosponsored by St. Joan of Arc and St. Peter’s Parishes. Service will include welcoming food preparation, meal distribution and clean up. There will be a second collection next week for the Evangelization of the Nations, otherwise known as World Mission Sunday. This is a worldwide collection for the missionary church and it is our opportunity to assist at-need Catholic communities globally.. We are called to share from our abundance. Thank you for your support of this important work
The 2020-2021 Sunday Missal for the new liturgical year which begins on the First Sunday of Advent on November 29, is now available at the parish office. Cost is $6.00
St. Peter’s Parish is now accepting 2021 Mass Intentions for all weekday Masses at 8 AM (Monday-Friday) and weekend Masses Saturday 5 PM, Sunday 9:00 AM and 11:15 AM
Offering: For announced date $20 per Mass and for Unannounced date $10 per Mass. The parish has been given permission to celebrate Mass with multiple intentions every Thursday at the 8:00 am Mass. As this is something which requires special permission from the Bishop, the parish cannot accept multiple intentions on other days.
The parish office is open to book Mass intentions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. However, to avoid crowds in the office during the pandemic you are asked to call and make an appointment for your visit (416-534-4219)
