Living the Gospel by supporting vocations

Martin Dicuangco had a life-changing encounter when he visited Serra House, a residence run by St. Augustine’s Seminary for those discerning a priestly vocation. He is now a third-year theology student at St. Augustine’s. “I thank ShareLife for supporting St. Augustine’s Seminary,” says Martin, “where young men like myself, after experiencing the love of Christ, are joyfully preparing for ordination to the priesthood.”

Thus far our parish has raised $10,733 of our $44,300Please pray for the success of our campaign and give as generously as you are able to help us reach our goal.

May 5 is ShareLife Sunday. Please give generously.

Ministry with Maturing Adults Workshop

The Office of Faith Formation will be offering a workshop on Ministry with Maturing Seniors. Over the past few years, many have asked the parish to start a ministry to maturing adults. Sadly, no one has been willing to step forward to assist in leading this ministry. If anyone would like to attend this workshop, the parish would be happy to sponsor such persons as a way of preparing them to assist in leading this ministry in the parish. The workshop will take place on Saturday, June 1 at St. Bonaventure’s Parish from 9:30 to 3:30 pm. Please contact Fr. Michael if you are interested.

Donation for Easter Flowers

Every year the parish relies on the generosity of parishioners to decorate the church with flowers. If you would like to make a donation to purchase flowers, please make your donation by using the envelope “Flowers for Easter” marked with your name, address and envelope numbers. Thank you for your generosity.

Thank You from St. Vincent De Paul

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Peter’s Conference, would like to thank everyone for contributing generously to our weekly collection baskets as you exit mass. The funds collected help us turn Concern into Action, and enable us to respond to calls for help from those most in need in our parish community.

Through your support and generosity, we collected almost $13,000 dollars in 2018 and that made it possible for us to help 26 families in our parish with groceries, clothing, furniture throughout the year, but also have a very special Christmas. We extend friendship and company through in-home visits to show our Parish’s caring support and provide information on additional community resources outside our community of faith.

On behalf of our team, our parish, and those people whom we’ve helped, thank you and God’s blessings and peace be with you in 2019.

P.S. We are always actively looking for new volunteer members and if you are interested in helping, you can leave your name and number at 416.534.4219 ext. 229 and one of our members will contact you
