Come and join the ecumenical prayer service led by Catholic, Anglican and Orthodox bishops along with Leaders from Christian Churches in GTA on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 4:30 pm at St. James Anglican Cathedral, 106 King St. East Toronto (at King and Church Streets). St. Bruno/St. Raymond Catholic School – JK Registration 2019-2020

Registration for Junior Kindergarten (September 2019) at St. Bruno/St. Raymond Catholic School will begin on Wednesday, January 16th, 2019 at 10:00 am.

Parents/guardians are asked to apply on-line using the “Student On-line Admission and Registration” platform known as S.O.A.R. and found at the following link: http://soar.tcdsb.org

An extended registration session will also take place on Thursday, January 24th from 4:30 pm to 6:30 p.m.  As part of the registration process, a meeting will be scheduled on the electronic application or in person at the school. During the meeting, the following original documentation is required for your child during registration: Baptismal Certificate, Birth Certificate and/or Passport, Immunization Record, Proof of Residence within school catchment boundary, Immigration papers if not born in Canada, and Application for Direction of School support.

Registration will NOT be deemed complete until all necessary documentation is on file with the school.

First Friday Healing Mass at 7 PM

Beginning in February, the parish will have a First Friday Healing Mass. Those in need of spiritual, physical, psychological or emotional healing are invited to present their petitions for healing at the time of the prayers of the faithful. These petitions can be written down and placed in a special petition box at the altar.

Social Justice Formation Nights—Thursday, January 17 and 24th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The newly formed Social Justice Committee at St. Peter’s has invited Mr. Matthew Marquardt, from Catholic Conscience, to give a two evening seminar on the Church’s teaching on Social Justice and how you can get involved. On the evening of Thursday, January 17th, 2019, Mr. Marquardt will present the “Seven Themes of the Church’s Social Teaching.” On Thursday, January 24th, 2019, he and a number of Social Outreach groups will explore how members of the parish can get involved in Social Justice. Both these sessions will take place in the church auditorium from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Please consider attending and mark this event in your calendar.

New Beginnings – Bereavement Ministry Support Group

A six (6) week bereavement ministry support group will be starting at St. Peter’s (ministry centre) starting on Tuesday, Jan. 15 to Feb. 19 from 1:30 – 3:30 pm.
