Municipal Elections 2018 – Cast Your Vote!

A municipal election will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018. All Catholics are strongly encouraged to exercise their democratic right to vote. To help learn more about the candidates for Catholic School Board Trustee, Cardinal Collins has given permission for these candidates to distribute literature to parishioners departing Mass on weekends from September 29/30 through October 20/21. We hope you’ll take the time to get to know those seeking elected office.

To ensure your vote for Catholic School Board Trustee, at the polling booth, verify that you are registered as a separate school supporter. If your support status is incorrect ask for an Application to Amend Voters’ List. This form may be completed and submitted at the polling station. Thank you for your interest and involvement in this fall’s municipal election!

Thanksgiving Food-Drive for the Good Shepherd Mission

The Good Shepherd Mission in Toronto looks after many of the city’s homeless and helps them find a warm meal all year round. Each year they rely on the generosity of Torontonians who are able to donate food to make their mission possible. This year the parish will be sponsoring a Thanksgiving Food Drive to support the Good Shepherd Mission. Please consider donating canned tuna, canned meat, canned fruit or vegetables, canned soups and stews, peanut butter, jam, cereal teabags, instant coffee, cookies, rice, and crackers. Please no fresh fruits or vegetables or frozen food. Some parishes decorate their sanctuaries with flowers on the Thanksgiving weekend. Let us decorate ours with food to be offered to those in need. Please bring your non-perishable food donations to any of our Sunday Masses on the Thanksgiving weekend – October 6 & 7.
