2018 Mass Intentions
St. Peter’s Parish is now accepting 2018 Mass Intentions for parish weekday Masses (Monday-Friday) and weekend Masses.
Offering: For announced date $20 per Mass and for Unannounced date $10 per Mass. An unannounced Mass intention may be sent to priests outside the parish to be celebrated in the near future. Due to the large number of requests for Masses, the parish has been given permission to celebrate Mass with multiple intentions every Thursday at the 12:10 pm Mass. As this is something which requires special permission from the Bishop, the parish cannot accept multiple intentions on other days.
Blessing of Pets – Feast of St. Francis of Assisi
In honour of the feast of St. Francis of Assisi on October 4, the parish will celebrate the blessing of pets on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at 6:30 pm outside the main doors of the Church. All pets and owners are welcome. Due to large number of animals, all pets must be leashed, caged or held in owners’ control.
Giving Our “Yes” to God – Respect for Life Sunday
There are many times in life that we are asked to do something and we say “yes” because we imagine what we are being asked to do will never come to pass. This was certainly the case when I was asked to be power of attorney for my pastor while I was in my first parish more than twenty years ago. At the time, the priest who was my pastor was about 65 years old and he asked me if I would look after him if he ever got sick or needed care. He was very healthy, and I thinking nothing would ever happen to him, happily said “yes” to his request. Continue reading

Fall Fair Table Centrepieces – Donations Needed!
The parish is looking for 45 volunteers to donate $7 to our Fall Fair table centrepieces. We would like to purchase 45 Mums for each tables centre piece and around John Bartosch’s memorial plaque.
Each person who donates for the mums will be able to take home as many as they donated for.
If you wish to contribute please leave your name, contact information and $7 contribution with Diana at the parish office.
Also, we will be marking the flowers noting who our generous sponsors are, i.e. “Donated by Name”, and if you wish you will be able to take them home with you once the fair is over.
Thanksgiving Food-Drive for the Good Shepherd Mission
The Good Shepherd Mission in Toronto looks after many of the city’s homeless and helps them find a warm meal all year round. Each year they rely on the generosity of Torontonians who are able to donate food to make their mission possible. This year the parish will be sponsoring a Thanksgiving Food Drive to support the Good Shepherd Mission. Please consider donating canned tuna, canned meat, canned fruit or vegetables, canned soups and stews, peanut butter, jam, cereal teabags, instant coffee, cookies, rice, and crackers. Please no fresh fruits or vegetables or frozen food. Some parishes decorate their sanctuaries with flowers on the Thanksgiving weekend. Let us decorate ours with food to be offered to those in need. Please bring your non-perishable food donations to any of our Sunday Masses on the Thanksgiving weekend-Oct. 7-8
