You are invited to join in celebrating the rededication of St. Michael’s Cathedral at two FREE public events in September:

– Mass and street party – Friday, September 30, 12 p.m. First-come, first-seated event.

– Sacred Music Concert featuring St. Michael’s Choir School – Friday, September 30, 7 p.m. Free event with tickets available online in September on a first-come, first-served basis. The parish invites parishioners to consider getting involved in different ministries. The parish needs Alter Servers, Ushers and Ministers of Hospitality, Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers.

Please consider attending workshops for:

New Alter Servers – Sunday, September 25, at 1 PM – 2 PM in the Church

Ushers and Ministers of Hospitality – Saturday, October 8, at 2 PM – 3 PM in the Church

Lectors – Saturday, October 15, at 2 PM – 3 PM in the Church

Eucharistic Ministers – Saturday, October 22, 2 PM – 3 PM in the Church

The Fall Fair community is looking for volunteers to help in various roles before, during and after the fair.

We are also looking for bakers and/ or volunteers to lead the bake table.  For those who can donate baked goods please bring them directly to the Fall Fair baked table on either Saturday October 1 or Sunday October 2.

The Parish Office will be closed on Monday, September 5,  for the Labour Day Holiday.  Daily Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in the Centre Chapel. There will be no adoration on that day.

Over the past 12 years, Cecilia Castellanos has worked as the parish housekeeper and cook, caring for the Paulist Fathers, the Jesuit Seminarians and diocesan clergy of our parish. As our large rectory will be closed for renovations in the coming year, in order to convert it to office space and allow the parish offices to be moved back into the rectory, Cecilia concluded her work in the rectory this past September 1, 2016. She is now working at Holy Rosary Parish. Thank you very much to Cecilia for her years of service to the parish community. Let us pray that God will bless her in her new work and for the years to come.
