Offering Envelopes for 2018 will be available at the back of the church next weekend. The boxed sets will be organized alphabetically. Please make sure to pick up only the box with your name on it.

Calling all young aspiring actors and actresses (ages 4 to 12)! If you would like to be part of the parish’s Christmas Pageant, please attend a rehearsal after the 11:15 AM Mass on Sunday, December 3, 10 and 17 in the Church. This year the Christmas Pageant will take place immediately before the parish’s 5:00 PM Christmas Eve Mass (December 24th).
The parish is looking for volunteers to help decorate this year’s Christmas Tree on Saturday, December 16th at St. Peter’s Church following the 5pm Mass. All volunteers who wish to help, are asked to meet at the back of the church near the confessional. Coffee, hot chocolate and festive treats will be served. See you there!

Advent confessions will be held in the Church on Saturday, December 16, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Please plan on joining your fellow parishioners in this time of spiritual healing as we prepare to celebrate the birth of Christ.
The signup sheets for Lectors & Eucharistic Ministers will be available on the weekend of November 25-26 in the Sacristy. The deadline for the sign-up will be the weekend of December 9-10. New schedule for the Christmas week will be available in the sacristy the weekend of December 16-17
Where I am presently living at Holy Rosary Parish, during the renovations of the rectory, I do not have access to internet and cable. This has happily meant that I do not watch a lot of television. Last week, when I was in Vancouver for the National Liturgy Conference, I was able to watch more television than I normally do in a month. One of the things that surprised me is the number of television shows that are on related to developing and celebrating the talents that some people possess. Some of the shows that can be found on the television include titles like “The Voice,” “America’s Got Talent,” Britain’s Got Talent,” “So You think you can Dance,” and “Dancing with the Stars.” All of these shows have in common the desire of those who appear on the show to have their unique talents and qualities recognized in the hopes of becoming famous.
