Celebrating A Love That Cannot Wait
The celebration of Easter is for all Christians the highpoint of our year of faith. At Easter we celebrate the fact that Christ has risen from the dead and destroyed death for all who place their hope in Him. Easter means that, because of Christ’s resurrection, we shall not die but rather we are all invited to spend eternity with our loving God in heaven. At Easter we think of our loved ones who have died and we rejoice that they have been spared death because of Christ’s resurrection and are with Him in heaven for all eternity. Ultimately, at Easter we celebrate that God loves us so much that He destroyed death so that He might spend eternity with each of us. Easter is the greatest celebration of God’s unconditional and undying love for each of us; a love so strong that death cannot destroy it. Continue reading

Living the Gospel by evangelizing our faith in the greater world..
St. Anthony’s parish in the Diocese of Guntur in India has nine mission stations which are between 10-15 kilometres away from the parish. There are nearly 350 Catholic families and five hundred children going to school from these areas. As the mission stations are a distance from the parish, the faithful do not experience many religious activities. Father Mayakuntala Kumar, pastor of the parish, with the support of the Pastoral Mission Fund and ShareLife, is conducting a Children Faith Formation Camp to help the children to become rooted in the Catholic faith. With our support, Father Kumar is helping to evangelize the faith not only for today, but for the future as well.
Next ShareLife Sunday is May 7, 2017. Please give generously.

Ministry of Welcome and Greeting
In order that the Parish community of St. Peter’s might always be a warm and welcoming place for those who visit, the parish needs more people to participate in the ministry of greeting and welcoming. Those who exercise this ministry greet people before Mass, assist with the collection and help people to find the way around the parish community. If you would be interested in this ministry, please call the parish office to sign up (416-534-4219). There will be a workshop for new greeters/ushers on Saturday, April 29th at 2:00 PM in the Church.
