The Parish Community of St. Peter’s Church wish a very Happy Father’s Day and all of God’s blessings to our fathers, grandfathers, godfathers and many other father figures in our lives. We also remember fathers who are no longer with us, but whose memories we will always cherish. HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!!!

All Eucharistic Ministers (Extra-ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion), are asked to attend a formation day that the parish will be hosting for this important ministry. It will take place on Saturday, July 6, 2019 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm in the church auditorium. Anyone who is interested in becoming a Eucharistic Minister should contact Fr. Michael (416-534-4219) and plan on attending this workshop. Please confirm you attendance by calling the parish office so that we may prepare enough handouts. Please bring your own lunch and refreshments.

Ladies, we are having another garden retreat at St. Bernard’s Convent, 685 Finch Ave. W. North York. Theme: Walking with the thoughts and reflections of Jean Vanier. Sat. June 15, Eucharist 11:00 to 4:00 p.m. Potluck picnic. RSVP Sr. Gabriel at 416534-4219 (Parish) / 416-630-3298 (Convent).

St. Peter’s Parish will be hosting four courtyard movie nights this coming summer. There will be movies in July and in August, the dates have not yet been confirmed, however, they will remain on Saturday nights. We are having a meeting for anyone who would like to volunteer to help with this event. Past volunteers and new volunteers are encouraged to attend this meeting. The meeting will cover volunteer logistics and next steps.The meeting will be held on Wednesday June 5th, at 7 pm, in the new parish office, located at 659 Markham Street. If you are unable to attend and would like to volunteer feel free to contact Alessya via email to be added to the list or to set up a meeting to talk. St. Peter’s Courtyard Movies are back!

The Sisters of Life will be hosting “The Source” here in our Church on Thursday, May 30 at 7:00 PM. You are invited to come for an evening of Eucharistic Adoration (7:00 PM – 8:00 PM) followed by Christian fellowship (Social at 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM). Confession will also be available during Adoration.

Marygrove: Girls 5-13 yrs.
Ozanam: Boys 7-12 yrs.
Our parish – St. Vincent De Paul Society conference is taking requests for the registration of children who would like to attend summer camp. This is a one-week excursion – free of charge – for those children who would not otherwise be able to afford a summer camp experience. For registration and further information, please call (416) 534-4219, ext.229 (SVDP), and leave the appropriate information (name, address, best phone number to contact you, and if possible best times, ); then a member of St. Vincent De Paul will contact you. Registration open until May 31. Spaces are filled on a first come first serve, so register as early as you can.

The First Friday Healing Mass will be on June 7 at 7 PM in the Church. Those in need of spiritual, physical, psychological or emotional healing are invited to present their petitions for healing at the time of the prayers of the faithful. These petitions can be written down and placed in a special petition box at the altar. When this Mass is celebrated on a normal ferial day, the votive Mass of the Sacred Heart will be celebrated.

The parish will have a spring bazaar and bake sale on the weekend of June 1 and June 2. It will take place on Saturday, June 1 from 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM and Sunday, June 2 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Please come and support the parish at our Spring Bazaar.
