Living the Gospel by helping youth rebuild their lives

Sarah couldn’t get along with her mother, so she tried living on the streets at age 14. She hitchhiked to Toronto to move in with her cousin, who soon kicked her out. Having no place to go, Sarah decided to try Sancta Maria House. She initially hated the structure and rules. However, the supportive staff won her trust and helped her return to school. At the end of her stay, she restored her relationship with her mother. ShareLife-funded agencies like Sancta Maria House are helping at-risk youth turn their lives around.

Eucharistic Adoration in the Centre Chapel

Eucharistic Adoration in the Centre Chapel takes place from 9:00 a..m. to 4:00 p.m.  Mondays to Thursdays and on Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  In order for Adoration to take place, people are needed to adore the Lord while the Blessed Sacrament is exposed. Please consider signing-up to spend an hour or more with Jesus during the week. The sign-up book is available in the Centre Chapel for those who are able to sign-up. If forty people sign-up to take an hour a week, we will be able to continue this very important time for prayer before the Lord.  Please consider making time for the Lord.

Living the Gospel by the promoting mental health of kids

Jake wrote a story in his grade 7 class that made his principal worry he might harm himself. The principal called his mother and recommended she take him to see a counsellor at Catholic Community Services of York Region, a ShareLife-funded agency. While the boy was very quiet during the frst session, he eventually revealed his sadness and confusion about his parents’ divorce. As the counsellor helped Jake learn how other kids respond to a family breakup, he was relieved to fnd out his grieving was normal. Jake started to feel much better. By donating to ShareLife, you’re helping kids like Jake fnd healing and happiness.
