This is the last weekend that Deacon Penn Dawson, sj will be with us here at St. Peter’s Parish. He will be ordained to the priesthood on Saturday, June 9, 2018 in St. Louis, Missouri. His first placement will be in the Jesuit Mission in Belize. Deacon Penn’s Ministry here has been a great blessing to the whole parish. Please keep him in your prayers . The Source – Sisters of Life
The Sisters of Life will be hosting “The Source” here in our Church on Thursday, May 24 at 7:00 PM. You are invited to come for an evening of Eucharistic Adoration (7:00 PM – 8:00 PM) followed by Christian fellowship (Social at 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM). Confession will also be available during Adoration.

Catholic Conscience and the Responsibility of Catholics in Elections
With a provincial election approaching on June 7th, the parish will host both an evening on the Responsibility of Catholics in an election and an all candidates meeting. These will be facilitated by a group called “Catholic conscience”. These events will take place as follows:
- Information Session: Responsibility of Catholics in Elections on Tuesday, May 22 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm in the St. Paul’s room in the parish centre
- All Candidates Meeting – University -Rosedale Riding, Thursday, May 31 at 7:00 pm in the Centre Auditorium
Sacred Heart of Jesus Feast Celebration – Friday, June 8, 2018
Mass in honour of the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus will take place on Friday, June 8 at 7 PM in the Church.
- 6:00 PM – Novena/Chaplet of the Sacred Heart
- 6:45PM – Benediction
- 7:00 PM – Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Gilles Mongeau, sj

Call for Conscience 2018 – An Invitation from Cardinal Collins
Cardinal Thomas Collins, Archbishop of Toronto, recently issued a call to action in advance of the June 7 provincial election to promote palliative care, conscience rights and the protection of faith-based facilities. His Eminence has asked Catholics to visit canadiansforconscience.ca/ontario to send a letter directly to all candidates in their riding for the June 7 election. A pre-written letter is provided which people can amend as they choose.
